Increasing demand for specialised services to the charities sector has sparked expansion at a leading chartered accountants and business advisers.

Crawley-based Richard Place Dobson has appointed Karen Corduff as client manager to its charities team, delivering tailored services to charities and not-for-profit organisations.

Their charity team, which manages more than 100 such clients, from small local charities under the audit threshold to larger international concerns, delivers bespoke services for a sector besieged by the age of austerity.

She said: “My time working here in a temporary role opened my eyes to the invaluable role that the team plays for charities.

“I’m joining a team passionate about the services it provides to organisations that often have specialist accountancy service requirements.”

The team’s clients include Crawley Open House, The Japan Society, East Grinstead Sports Club and the Polish Catholic Mission.

The firm’s expertise in the charity and not-for-profit sector stems from the merger of charity specialists Christopher Dobson & Co and Richard Place &Co in 2001.
