Crawley accountancy firm Richard Place Dobson is being targeted by UK subsidiaries of European groups for their expertise in accountancy and audit.

The practice has recently won several such clients, including Norplan Hydropower Limited, a new subsidiary of Multiconsult, one of Norway’s leading engineering consultancy companies.

Norplan Hydropower Limited are now outsourcing the whole of their bookkeeping and accounts department function to the accountancy practice, following a recommendation from the top four firm responsible for the Multiconsult group audit.

Sue Chinn, client manager at Richard Place Dobson, said: “We are winning these clients due to our considerable experience and expertise.

“This includes our ability to offer clients specialised software solutions targeted to meet their needs, along with the assistance of fully accredited software trainers.”

The practice acts for several similar international clients with subsidiaries in the UK.

Director Matthew Tyson added: “We are cost effective for many of these smaller subsidiary companies and have built up a notable reputation for our efficient and reliable service and advice.”

Another recent win is Ubbink (UK) Limited, a medium-sized subsidiary of a larger German-based group specialising in the sale and distribution of roofing, ventilation and heating products. Richard Place Dobson were invited to quote for the Ubbink (UK) Limited audit as a result of the strong rapport and good relationship built up with the management of a smaller subsidiary of the group with which Richard Place Dobson has been working over the last eighteen months.
