THE NATURAL Skincare Company, based in Itchingfield, has teamed up with the Dame Vera Lynn Trust based in Five Oaks, a charity providing a specialist service for families with young children who have cerebral palsy and other motor learning disabilities.
£1 from the sale of every geoskincare product sold through the website, www.thenaturalskincarecompany.co.uk, will go directly to the charity from the beginning of May until the end of October 2012.
geoskincare offers a stylish and effective range of certified organic skincare for both men and women. Containing natural minerals found only in New Zealand’s thermal regions, along with essential oils and pure extracts, the products offer exceptional benefits to the skin without the use of chemicals.
The Trust’s president, Dame Vera Lynn, explained why such donations are important. She said: “For a family to be suddenly and unexpectedly faced with the news that their child is affected by cerebral palsy is a life-altering experience.
“The special attention that their child will need in his or her early years is woefully lacking in the public sector. Early intervention is crucial.”
The money raised from the geoskincare donations will go towards helping raise the £660,000 required this year to ensure that the vital and much needed service that the School for Parents provides can continue.
All the services are provided free of charge and no statutory funding is received. The Dame Vera Lynn Trust relies entirely on the support of the community to ensure that families can continue to receive the help and support they need.
Amanda McGillivray from The Natural Skincare Company, the UK distributor of geoskincare said: “I’ve been privileged to see firsthand the incredible work done by the Dame Vera Lynn Trust and know what a positive difference it makes to the lives of young children and their parents.
“As a mum, a businesswoman and someone who lives little more than a mile away from the School for Parents, I feel very strongly that I want to do whatever I personally can to help them raise the vital funds they need to keep this wonderful service going.”
