Bucks Green death crash victim is named

Police have named a woman who died in a collision on A281 at Bucks Green on Monday (December 15).

Denise Osborne, 67, from Buckland in Surrey, the driver of a white Mini Cooper, died after a head on collision with a Vauxhall Vivaro van between Hillhouse Lane and Cooks Hill.

Her front seat passenger, a 75-year-old man, from Betchworth, Surrey, suffered serious injuries and was flown to St George’s Hospital, Tooting, London, by the Kent, Surrey and Sussex air ambulance. He is in a serious but stable condition.

A 17-year-old youth from Surrey, who was driving the van, suffered minor injuries.

Police said he was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has been released on bail until 11 February.
