Big Church Day Out set to draw 20,000 or more to Steyning festival

STEYNING is to play host to one of the largest Christian Events in the UK.

The Big Church Day Out will take place at Wiston House near Steyning on May 28th and 29th.

Now in its third year this all age multi denominational event attracts 20,000 Christians from all over the UK and beyond.

Performing on the main stage over the weekend will be Toby Mac, The David Crowder Band, and Israel Houghton.

There are three stages in total and a kids zone. Wiston church on the estate will also be available for personal prayer and at times some organized corporate prayer.

The event is packed full of fun and music. Tim Jupp, organizer of the event, said: “We’re always excited when we see this magnificent country estate filled with so many people, for one enormous picnic, and wanting to hang out and have a lot of fun together. It’s a great demonstration that the church in the UK is still very much alive, contrary to what we often read.”

The event starts at 2pm on both days, and all info and tickets can be found at

If you’ve got friends coming from farther afield then check out the new for 2011 shuttle bus service.
