The County Times team have been surprised by a bunch of bananas this morning (Monday March 23) as part of a ‘banana drop’ in the area.
Every Monday morning, Sarah Aslin and Mel McMahon hand out 70 bananas to businesses and the public across the Horsham area, to promote Bluecoat Sports Health and Fitness Club.
The pair offer fresh fruit to commuters at Horsham Railway Station, as well as treating local businesses - and their reputation is beginning to grow.
Sarah said: “The lady at Hop Oast at the council - you would have thought she had won the lottery.
“We walked in and she was like ‘wow!’ That was probably the best reaction we had.
“It is something nice to do and it is always appreciated.”
Mel added: “It puts a smile on people’s faces.”
The duo, armed with a large inflatable banana, have urged the public to say hello if they see them out and about, and ‘grab a banana’.
