Arrests after fight on a train

Police and paramedics were called to a fight on a train at Three Bridges station.

Four men were arrested on suspicion of affray after British Transport Police was called at 9.23pm on Saturday (March 19).

A spokesman said: “Colleagues from Sussex Police also attended and four men were arrested on suspicion of affray.

“The men, aged 54, 44, 38 and 27 have been bailed until Tuesday, 26 April pending further enquiries.”

Witnesses were asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference 625 of 19/3/16. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
