Mary Ockenden from Warnham submitted this photograph of a datura in bloom.

The hot-house plant was grown by her husband Ian in a polytunnel.

Wikipedia says of the plant: “Datura is a genus of nine species of vespertine flowering plants belonging to the family Solanaceae.

“They are known as Angel’s Trumpets, sometimes sharing that name with the closely related genus Brugmansia.’’
