WAVERLEY businesses are among those invited to apply to be on the board of the new Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
Enterprise M3 was approved by the Government in February and launched at the beginning of April, covering north and mid Hampshire, the M3 corridor and Surrey, including Waverley.
The LEP aims to bring together businesses, large and small, with councils, universities, colleges and other public services making decisions that affect the area’s economy.
They will help shape strategic policy and will be able to bid for Government funds for major projects that can assist in economic development.
The principle at the heart of the LEP is that it should be business-led, so the Partnership is looking to businesses to help set the agenda.
The LEP will be led by a board made up of public and private sector representatives and chaired by a businessperson.
The LEP is now looking for applications from businesses for board membership.
Full details and guidance on the type of people the LEP is looking for can be found at www.enterprisem3.org.uk
The closing date for applications is 11 May and interview dates will be Tuesday May 31 and Wednesday June 1.
There will also be opportunities to get involved with the LEP’s Implementation Group and Action Groups. If you are interested in getting involved, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your details and your area of interest.
