Roadworks which have caused two mile long delays along a major road are expected to be completed today (Monday February 8).
Works along the A29 Stane Street in Billingshurst have been taking place for the past two weeks, causing traffic chaos for drivers travelling between Billingshurst and Broadbridge Heath.
A multi-ways traffic light system has been in place whilst the works were carried out.
The work has caused high levels of congestion in the area - with tailbacks as long as two miles reported.
A spokesman for West Sussex County Council said the works had been delayed by a day but were set to be completed by the end of today.
