Celebration of Johann Strauss

Acclaimed soprano Maria Kesselman performs alongside soloists from major opera companies in Viennese Strauss Gala at the Pavilion Theatre in Worthing on Thursday February 28 at 7.30pm.

The show is a celebration of Johann Strauss including vignettes from the operettas Gypsy Baron, Die Fledermaus, the lesser-known Night in Venice and the music of Kalman and Lehar’s The Merry Widow.

Viennese Strauss Gala was originally musically constructed by Matthew Freeman of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and was created to evoke the splendour, glamour and romance of Strauss’s era.
