New music event for people with learning disabilities

A HORSHAM service for adults with learning disabilities is holding a new music event on Friday.

The Butterfly Project is a day service providing a wide range of activities aimed around work skills and various community projects.

One of the sessions they hold is based around music and performing, and they have set up a new music event called ‘The Works’.

On the night there will be music from DJs, non-alcoholic cocktails, raffles, face painting, crafts and much more. The event is set up and run by adults with learning disabilities.

Friends and family are welcome to the event, and entry is £3, with carers getting in for free.

All money raised will be used by the charity to buy resources which can be used by their users.

The event takes place on Friday (October 28) between 7pm and 11pm at Horsham Youth Centre, Hurst Road and is for over 16s.
