Friends are relaunched

SHOREHAM’S Ropetackle Arts Centre has re-launched its Friends of Ropetackle membership scheme.

Ropetackle’s chairman of trustees Martin Allan said: “By becoming a Friend of Ropetackle you not only receive discounts on tickets, and uniquely for an arts centre, get involved with our programming, but you’ll also benefit from a wide range of discounts from local businesses across Shoreham.

“From butchers to bakers to candlestick makers, businesses across Shoreham are joining the scheme, and will be kindly offering Friends of Ropetackle generous discounts. We want to play a central role in Shoreham’s cultural life, and we see our Friends scheme as a way of helping to connect Shoreham’s business community with Shoreham’s thriving arts and culture scene’

Friends of Ropetackle annual membership costs £15 for individuals, or £25 for a couple. Friends receive numerous ticket discounts throughout the year, a £6 voucher (to be spent at the box office or the bar), an invitation to join Ropetackle’s programming meetings, plus a wide range of discounts from businesses of all types across Adur. They will also be offered occasional free tickets and give-aways.

Ropetackle regular, jazz musician Herbie Flowers said: ‘Ropetackle? A life-keeping experience! The team that work there, us who play there, the choir, the recitals, the workshops, the laughs. Want a friend? Be a Friend!”

Ropetackle Friends scheme is being coordinated by the centre’s 100th volunteer Ann Russell. Ann said: ‘Ropetackle is an exciting and unique venue with entertainment to suit all tastes. Become a Friend and enjoy the benefits to the full!”
