Since the Festival of Flowers at Chichester Cathedral started in 1996, its reputation for creating an awe-inspiring series of magical displays has spread far and wide, with many visitors making a return journey each year. The event raises money for the Chichester Cathedral Restoration and Development Trust and is held every other year, attracting thousands of visitors from all over the country and from countries abroad, including Holland, Canada and America.

With the postponement of this year’s event, due to coronavirus, we thought we would take a look back through the archives at displays from past years. In 2006, the festival linked flowers and music with the theme Let All The World In Every Corner Sing, and in 2010, the eighth Festival of Flowers paid tribute to some of world’s greatest poets.
