End of life care and medical care were rated as outstanding having previously been rated as good.

Urgent and emergency care remained good and the hospital trust remained good overall.

Care Quality Commisstion deputy chief inspector of hospitals Dr Nigel Acheson said: “Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust have worked hard to implement and embed improvements within the areas we inspected.

“This has given us the opportunity to rate both medical care and end of life care as outstanding while their urgent and emergency care remains good.
