Horsham girl, 6, rides more than 100 miles in aid of the NHS

A Horsham girl has ridden more than 100 miles in aid of the NHS after being inspired by Captain Tom Moore.

Jessica Kirby, six, hit her target on Friday May 8, three weeks and one day after setting herself the challenge, according to mum Sarah.

She said: “Jessica hit her 100 mile target and smashed her fundraising target!

“Since then she has continued to cycle and has reached 115 miles, as just like her inspiration Captain Tom, she plans to keep going.”

Jessica has raised £1,418 for the NHS, smashing her £200 target.

Sarah said their neighbours cheered for her daughter as she completed her challenge.

Jessica, age 6, said: “I feel happy and proud to have raised so much money for the NHS. I am excited to be carrying on.”
