Horsham tip shuts after staff member tests positive for coronavirus

West Sussex County Council confirmed the tip shut yesterday, July 1, due to self-isolation requirements following a member of staff testing positive for COVID-19.

A spokesman added: “The safety of staff and the public is our priority and so the site will remain closed today and tomorrow (Friday and Saturday). We plan to reopen the site on Sunday (July 4).

“Anyone with a booking for our Horsham site should have been contacted via email to advise them of the closure.

“The email will advise people of the alternative options to dispose of their recycling and waste. If for any reason anyone hasn’t received an email they should call us on 01243 642106.”
