UPDATE: Crawley College to be closed all week following burst water pipe
Crawley College will be closed until Thursday 1 April 1 following a burst water pipe this morning (Monday).
A statement on the college's website said: "Unfortunately, a burst water pipe has caused a significant impact on the college’s main power supply as well as the college’s IT and telephone systems.
"This means all lessons for the remainder of the week – and up to the end of term on Thursday 1 April – will be delivered online.
"Course tutors or student tutors will be in contact directly with students with more details. Tutors are also available via email.
"If you need to contact the college, please be aware telephone systems have been affected and are currently down.
"Facilities at Longley 1 and Longley 2 are operational, although there is no computer network or WiFi available.
"Over the next three days, the AM2 assessment centre will remain open, while SECAMB delivery in Longley 2 and practical sessions for plumbing and electrical in Longley 1 will be able to continue. Only students attending these sessions are permitted to access the campus.
"We would like to apologise for the disruption this has caused, and we thank you for your understanding.
"We would also like to reassure you that our teams are working tirelessly to restore power and we look forward to welcoming you back on campus after the Easter holidays, when terms starts again on Monday 19 April."
