Horsham girl’s delight at returning to school after lockdown

Not all parents and children were pleased at the prospect of returning to school this week after months on lockdown - but one Horsham girl couldn’t hide her delight.

Daisy Porritt was so excited to be finally going back to Heron Way Primary in Horsham that she was up and dressed at 6am on Monday.

Mum Caron said: “As a full time working parent it’s been a struggle to provide adequate homeschooling support to her.

“As a year 6 pupil it’s also important for her to get back to a degree of normality in the last seven weeks of term, to start the transition from primary to secondary.
