The long-running British retailer went into administration in April following years of declining sales.

A rescue attempt to save the company fell through in June and it began winding down earlier this month, closing 20 stores.

On Monday, July 25, BHS announced it would be shutting all its 163 retail outlets, putting 11,000 under threat.

The Horsham store, in Swan Walk shopping centre, will close on August 3, a spokesman said.

Twenty-seven jobs were ‘under consideration’ but no-one had yet been made redundant, the spokesman added.

In a statement BHS said: “Philip Duffy and Benjamin Wiles, Joint Administrators of BHS have informed employees that the remaining stores will commence closure sales from today (Monday).

“It is anticipated that failing any last minute rescue attempt the last stores will cease trading by Saturday August 20.”

BHS said the Crawley store is also set to close on August 3.
