On Monday, October 5, the colleagues from Family Law Partners – which also included members from the firm’s other offices in Sussex, London, Hampshire and Surrey – took on the 2020 London Legal Walk 10xChallenge closer to home due to the pandemic.

They were raising funds for the London Legal Support Trust which funds law centres and pro bono agencies in the South East and around London, and ensures access to justice for some of our communities’ most poor and vulnerable people.A spokesperson for the firm said: “The annual walk, which was not able to go ahead in the same way due to Covid-19, took on a virtual form with the team taking on their own personal 10xChallenges, including hikes and cycle rides over the South Downs, through the Copsale area of Horsham, under the Rottingdean undercliffs and a bracing sea swim.

“One member of the team took part from her holiday in Yorkshire, undergoing a 10k walk past Harrogate landmark Betty’s Café Tea Rooms.

“Some of the team went the extra mile to encourage sponsorship, donning fancy dress and taking inspiration from legendary legal figures Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Baroness Brenda Hale. Others were accompanied by canine friends, trusty bicycle wheels and friends, family and colleagues for (socially distanced) support.”

Collectively they travelled more than 100k and have so far raised more than £250, and more donations can be made at https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-display/showROFundraiserPage?userUrl=FamilyLawPartnersLondon20&pageUrl=1
