The club has been established in the community for 143 years, but this is a new venture for it.

The team is supported by Covers, which has a depot in Foundry Lane and it is hoping to form a squad of 16 players. The club is currently trialling for players.

It comes at a time of expansion for the club’s youth section - it is running sides for under 18s, under 16s, under 15s, under 14s and now the under tens.

Tony Massimo, under tens team manager and Yardman at Covers’ Horsham depot said: “We are really excited about our imminent brand new team. Having attended the trials so far, all the local lads who took part have shown incredible potential. It’s not going to be an easy job picking a side and I’m sure all who are selected will be a true credit to the club and to Covers too.

“I have worked at the Horsham Covers depot for over two years. The organisation’s support is fantastic and has so far allowed us to purchase the goals and new playing kit required for the Under 10s team.

The youth section at Horsham FC is an important part of the community and I am proud that the organisation I work for is enabling the new under tens team to become established.”
