“As part of the planning agreement for the development, Bellway will be providing £641,848 in funding for local facilities and services, including education and transport.

“Contributions will include £175,217 towards the expansion of Weald School, £162,804 towards the expansion of Billingshurst Primary School and £146,874 for transport improvements.”

Money will also be provided for new equipment for Weald School Sixth Form, upgrades to Billingshurst Village Hall, the development or relocation of fire stations in West Sussex, new equipped play areas and local library improvements, he added.

Daniel Williamson, Sales Director for Bellway South London, said: “With planning consent already secured, we are now preparing to move onto the site and begin construction work shortly.

“Woodcroft Park will include a range of two to four-bedroom houses and bungalows as well as a mix of one to three-bedroom affordable homes for rent or shared ownership.

“As well as providing new homes for people at various stages of the property ladder, we will also be creating a new area of woodland to the south of the site for the benefit of new residents and the wider community.

“The development will also include 88 allocated car parking spaces for residents and 18 visitor spaces.”
