“So take your time to enjoy the full Christmas experience as you ‘Buy Local’ on our high streets safely, enjoying a hot chocolate on the way.”

Horsham District Council cabinet member for the local economy Paul Clarke said: “Now with Christmas just around the corner I urge all residents to get out and about locally for their festive shopping and look to their local independent businesses for at least a proportion of their purchases, making their money work harder for the local economy.

“Our hot chocolate competition is just one of a range of festive promotions under our ‘Buy Local ‘ banner and I would urge as many of you as possible to sample a festive inspired hot chocolate and enter.

“Look out for our forthcoming campaigns encouraging you to ‘Buy Local’ just that bit more than usual this year to help our town centres and communities thrive.”
