But, she says, there is availability for those looking for a late summer or early autumn break in ‘luxurious and confortable’ accommodation.

The boom in popularity for staycations since the pandemic means Fiona has had to take on an extra staff member.

The properties themselves range in size and style to accommodate from two to 10 people. The include a quaint cottage, a boutique garden apartment and family-friendly accommodation - and all have a chic but ‘home from home feeling’, says Fiona, 52.

The properties are proving popular with all age ranges, from hen party guests to families and pensioners.

“More people are looking to holiday in the UK in destinations like Sussex ” said Fiona.

“Devon and Cornwall are fully booked up; there just isn’t enough properties in those areas.

“People are looking around for other destinations and Sussex is ideal. It has many advantages - the South Downs National Park is a huge gem with such close proximity to London.

“You have everything on your doorstep from the buzz of Brighton with its sea, shops and The Lanes, and destinations such as Chichester Harbour and the Witterings - and the hidden gems like Littlehapton and Climping.

“I encourage all my guests to support local businesses and just come with their suitcases and relax.”
