That’s according the broadband company Hey!Broadband which is rolling out full-fibre broadband to another 10,000 homes in Horsham.

A spokesman said: “With only 12 per cent of the UK currently having access to full fibre broadband services, in the next three months extended coverage across Horsham will establish it as being one of the few towns in the UK with access to one of the fastest connection speeds available.”

Chief executivbe officer Marta Comas said: “The interest in our initial provision of fibre broadband in Horsham has been amazing. And, with the feedback we are getting on Trustpilot, we know we are getting it right.

“Lockdown did put a delay on our second roll out phase, but as we continue to connect the next 10,000 homes across Horsham, the interest logged on our website will be used to prioritise those homes and businesses that have already made initial contact.”

Hey!Broadband says it is working with locally-based IT support firm Octotech and businesses and residential areas are being given access to Gigabit internet speeds “that will download and upload a massive twenty-two times faster than the average broadband speed in the UK.”

Previously, Horsham residents have only been able to sign up to hybrid fibre-and-copper-based broadband services, often leading to slower speeds and dropped connections in peak times.

The company says that with new ultra-fast fibre technology, the connection into homes and offices is direct from the exchange, “enabling a massive difference in terms of speed and reliability and better suited to the needs of today’s households.”
