Carers could benefit from accountancy advice free

Carers in and around Horsham can benefit from free advice about managing their financial and legal affairs from Spofforths in Steyning and Horsham over the next few weeks.

The Alzheimer’s Society, a leading UK charity, holds a monthly Carers Support Group for those caring for people with dementia to discuss issues such as wills, power of attorney, and probate.

The next two meetings will be at the Baptist Church in Trafalgar Road, Horsham on Tuesday February 19, and at Dingemans Court, in Shooting Field, Steyning on Tuesday February 26.

Philip Lansberry, director of Spofforths Private Client Services, said: “I look forward to speaking at the carers group talk and meeting those who dedicate their lives to caring for others.

“The talk will be very relaxed and I aim to provide carers with advice that will help them to deal with some very complex matters.

“I will explain the importance of helping a person with dementia to organise their financial and legal affairs while they are still able to do so. It is so important that the affairs of a person with dementia are set up in a way that they have chosen.”
