Broadbridge Heath businesswoman scoops top national awards

Therapist and beauty salon owner Andrea Bari-Grounds beat competition from around the UK to win gold and silver in the annual National Hair and Beauty Awards.

As owner of AndiB’s Beauty Therapies and AndiB’s Beauty Training, Andrea was awarded gold for Best Beauty Training Centre of Excellence in South-East England, as well as silver for Beauty Therapist of the Year in London and the South East - and an overall silver medal for best Self-Employed Individual Beauty Therapist in the whole of the UK.

Andrea said: “My salon and training school have been my dream and to be recognised in this way is just amazing.

“My wonderful clients have been so supportive and their messages since I received the awards have meant everything to me. Thanks to all of them and to my family and friends who have been with me on this wonderful journey.

“I can’t wait to be able to open the doors of the salon again but until then my online students know they are going to have a very happy teacher.”

Andrea established her home-based beauty room in Broadbridge Heath in 2014 and provides tailored manicure, pedicure, nail and facial treatments as well as a range of tailored massage and reflexology treatments in what she calls her ‘little oasis of calm’.

Her training school, AndiB’s Beauty Training offers accredited courses in a range of beauty, nail and holistic specialisms.

Courses are normally delivered both face to face and online, with the online service thriving during lockdown.
