VIDEO: Horsham Museum exhibition ready for Dr Who 50th anniversary show

With the 5oth anniversary television Dr Who show to be screened on Saturday (November 23), there has been great interest in Horsham Museum’s exhibition.

The unofficial exhibition ‘2D Adventures in Time and Space’ features a special display of original artworks from comics over the years, featuring every doctor up to and including the current Doctor, Matt Smith.

These pieces were drawn by some of the major names in comic illustration and fine art, including Richard Jennings, Gerry Haylock, Ron Turner, Dave Gibbons, Lee Sullivan, and John Ridgway artists who have worked on well-known and much loved comics such as Judge Dredd and 2000 AD, and commissions for Marvel Comics and DC Comics.

The exhibition also looks forwards to the future, as it includes a drawing by incoming Doctor Who Peter Capaldi of his predecessor Tom Baker.

This very special exhibition features original artworks and publications from 50 years of a television institution.
