Enjoy Jane Austen's romantic comedy of manners outside at The Hawth

The actors are set to perform Jane Austen’s romantic comedy of manners at the Crawley venue on Wednesday, August 31 (7pm).

In this play Elinor and Marianne Dashwood make their first forays into the exciting world of Regency society.

The lively tale follows the sisters as they fall in love, make mistakes and experience heartbreak for the first time in their quest to find a balance between sense and sensibility.

Chapterhouse has an established tradition in Austen productions, receiving fantastic reviews and performing to sell-out venues with adaptations of her warm-witted, romantic tales. In past years these have included productions of Pride & Prejudice and Emma.

The company is now in its 17th year of touring open-air theatre at some of the most beautiful country houses, castles and heritage sites across the UK and Ireland.

From a first year of performances at some 30 venues with Romeo and Juliet in 2000, the company has established itself as one of the most successful and critically acclaimed touring companies in the country.
