As their only outdoor performance in the UK this summer, Boomerang offers music lovers the chance to catch this prolific band on the open stage in the unique surroundings of Hickstead’s International Arena.

“When we started Simple Minds, our objective was to be considered as one of the great live bands,” said frontman Jim Kerr. “A band that had the desire to go all around the world – playing everywhere and anywhere. That challenge is ongoing and we relish touring all over the UK.”

Simple Minds have provided the soundtrack to people’s lives for the past 35 years with songs like ‘Promised You A Miracle’, ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’, ‘Alive & Kicking’ and ‘Waterfront’. Their sound has influenced acts as diverse as the Manic Street Preachers, Primal Scream and Moby, and they have provided memorable movie moments for iconic films like The Breakfast Club and Elizabethtown.

Simple Minds join previously announced Boomerang Sunday night headliners Jessie J and The Vamps.
