Ian Maclay, managing director of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, said: “This is a thrilling programme of film music with something for the whole family to enjoy.”

The Orchestra is no stranger to the film world; they are frequently found in the recording studio and have performed extensively for film and television.

Their earliest film recording was The Red Shoes in 1948 when the orchestra was only in its second year.

Other film soundtracks include David Lean’s A Passage to India, Enduring Love starring Daniel Craig and Hyde Park on Hudson, released in UK cinemas in 2012.
