The Cathedral Library is home to a fascinating collection of rare books stored in the Cathedral heights. The Song School Room is the home of the famous Cathedral Choir - a historic room with a secret chamber. And The Bishop’s Chapel is the private chapel of the Bishop of Chichester with its unique 13th Century Chichester Roundel.

Admission is free and no booking necessary, Just turn up between 2 and 4pm on September 10.

On the same day, and also part of Heritage Open Days, you can take part in the Cathedral’s family activity - Build your own Cathedral. Visit Chichester Cathedral on the morning of September 10 and make your own (very small) Cathedral to take home.

Costumed characters will be in the cathedral to chat to families and tell them something of the building’s history and architecture. They will encourage children to make drawings to use in creating a cut-out cathedral. There is no charge for the morning but donations would be welcome.
