Claire Montgomery, who runs the fair, explained: “Whilst our events are obviously cancelled right now, we are holding an online fair on Sunday, August 16 on our social media.

"The event will feature over 30 of our talented independent makers with new products and exclusive offers. We'll also have some special guests and musical performances as well as a giveaway. The themes will include summer smiles, Birthday fun, self care, motivation and rainbows! The event will be held 11am-2pm via our Facebook event https://www.facebook.com/events/362177341435002/

“Founded in 2012 in a small village hall the fair has since gone onto grow across many venues across Sussex and won Best Market & Community Event in the UK twice.

“We were very sad early in the year to cancel our Easter fair which would have been in aid of St Barnabas House Cancer Hospice.

“Since 2015 we have raised over £20,000 for them, and hope to be back next Christmas instead to continue our fundraising efforts. We were very grateful to have received backing from The Arts Council England recently to enable us to stay afloat during these challenging times and return with our family craft fairs when it is safe to do so.”
