ASHINGTON Horticultural Society welcomes John Paisley, co-owner of Wych Cross Garden Centre in East Sussex, where they have Britain’s best potted rose selection with over 1,000 varieties. John will be giving an illustrated talk, ‘A short history of Peace; roses and their development’. Roses will be for sale, together with the garden centre’s rose catalogue at the event, April 1, 7.30pm at the Scout hall, Church Lane, Ashington. £4 to include refreshments.
