TRANSITION Horsham is a group of volunteers following the ideas and vision of the Transition Towns movement set up in Totnes in 2006. This grassroots organisation believe in encouraging flexibility and resiliance in response to climate change, peak oil and economic shocks. It is all about building up community networks, sharing and learning new skills, cutting carbon emissions, eliminating waste and travelling lightly on the planet. We have talks and workshops, projects such as Community Energy, Stitch Up, Garden Share, Seedy Saturday and Swap Shop. We have Green Movies, Green Drinks and Green Readers. Depending on programme we meet at 7.45pm on the last Thursday of the month at Friends Meeting House, Worthing Road, Horsham.
