WALK: June 3. All welcome, just turn-up at car park at Southwater Country Park (off Cripplegate Lane) at 11am. Easy flat circular, guided, free sociable HDC Walk along bridleways, lanes and the Downs Link. Café open in the Park at the end. 2½ miles, 1 hour. Pat 01403 240654.

WALK: June 4. All welcome, free, just turn-up at 8.30am at RSPB Wiggonholt Overflow car park (TQ 061164). 5¼ mile hilly circular HDC Health Walk through Wiggonholt Common, past Parham Glider Field and through the spectacular Parham Park. Dogs allowed on a lead. 2 hours. Mick 01903 745971.

WALK: June 7. All welcome, just turn-up at Steyning Health Centre, Tanyard Lane, at 11am. Various, mostly flat circular, guided, free sociable HDC Walks around the outskirts of Steyning. 2 miles, 1¼ hours. Keith 01903 813381.

THE next meeting of Horsham Astronomy Group at Christ’s Hospital will be on June 8. It will feature a talk by Richard Griffith: “The Summer/ Autumn Night Sky”. CRICKET MATCH: BroadbridgeHeath Cricket Club will be holding a friendly cricket match in conjunction with Broadbridge Heath Tennis Club against Biffa West Sussex Ltd on Wednesday 8th June starting at 6.15pm at the Cricket Club in Byfleets Lane,BBQ and the bar will be open all evening, all spectators welcome.

HORSHAM Decorative and Fine Arts Society will hold their next meeting at the Capitol Theatre, North Street, Horsham on Wednesday June 8 at 10.45am. The subject will be Plantation Houses of the American South. The speaker is Roger Mitchell MA Oxon. Visitors are very welcome. Admission £5.

ROFFEY Greenfield WI meets the second Thursday of each month at St Andrew’s Church Hall, Roffey, Horsham, at 7.45pm. Visitors welcome. At our next meeting on June 9 members will be hearing a talk by Mrs Claude Harvey entitled ‘Living in Paris during the War’.
