CLUB 80’s Disco Night at The Holbrook Club, North Heath Lane, Horsham, July 15. WALK: July 15: All welcome, just turn-up at car park at Southwater Country Park (off Cripplegate Lane) at 11am. Easy flat circular, guided, free sociable HDC Walk along bridleways, lanes and the Downs Link. Café open in the Park at the end. 2½ miles, 1 hour. Pat 01403 240654.

SATURDAY

CRAWLEY Fly Fishers will have a stand at Balcombe Village Fete on Saturday July 16, noon-5pm, where members of the public will be able to receive advice and tuition on their casting and fly tying skills. Founded in 1985 Crawley Fly Fishers is a dynamic fishing club whose aims are to promote all aspects of conservation, care, and education relating to fly fishing for trout and other species. It is committed to the development of any person wishing to learn about fly fishing, and its related subjects. Crawley Fly Fishers will be delighted to welcome you to one of their regular Tuesday evening meetings at Three Bridges Cricket Club, 156 Three Bridges Road, Crawley. South Downs Raptor Club will be at Mayberry Garden Centre (on the Southwick border) with several species, and there will be the chance to handle birds of prey and have your photo taken, all to raise funds for local charities. WALK: July 16: All welcome, North Stoke, 7½ mile hilly HDC circular walk for the more ambitious to Amberley via the South Downs Way then along the banks of the River Arun to South Stoke. Free, just turn-up at 2pm at Kithurst Hill car park (off Storrington to Amberley road). Well-behaved dogs welcome. 3 hours. Mick 01903 745971.

SUNDAY

THERE’S the chance to get up close and personal to a range of British owls the weekend (July 16 and 17).
