WALK: Dec 26. All welcome, Wepham Down, 6½ mile circular downland sociable HDC Health Walk, some hills, good views of some of the finest parts of the downland landscape. WALK: Dec 27. All welcome, Going South from Horsham, meet at St Mary’s Church, Causeway at 10am. Circular, guided, free, sociable, HDC walk past St Mary’s Church, over meadows and the gently wooded slopes of Denne Park to Coltstaple Lane and Newfoundout and back along Pedlar’s Way via Chesworth Farm. BUCHAN Country Park, Horsham Road: Dogs and Dragons, Dec 28, 10am-4pm. Bring your four-legged friend to meet canine rangers Rex and Ellie on an 8 mile guided walk from Buchan Park to St Leonard’s Forest and back! We will learn about the folklore and wildlife of this ancient High Weald site and enjoy a hot drink with our lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring a packed lunch. Well behaved dogs on leads only please with an opportunity for them to have a run when we stop for lunch. No charge but donations towards the upkeep of the park welcomed.
