ST MARGARET’S, Warnham, Grand Christmas Bazaar, 10am-3pm, Warnham Village Hall, Dec 3. This is the major village fundraiser for the church and is a truly wonderful proper Christmas Bazaar. Stalls will include home made produce, books, toys, jewellery, craft gifts, ‘white elephant’, tombolas, DVDs, guess the weight of the Christmas cake, Lucky Dip, and the Grand Draw with dozens of raffle prizes. Father Christmas will pay a visit at 11.30 to 12.30 and wonderful ploughman’s lunches, homemade soup, hot dogs, cakes and teas and coffees will be served during the day. THE ever-popular annual carol concert, organised by the Rotary Club of Cranleigh, will take place in the village hall on Dec 7, starting at 7pm. Choirs from local junior schools will be performing Christmas favourites, accompanied by the Cranleigh Youth Band. The compere for the evening and leader of the prayers will be the Rev Jonathan Thomas, curate at St Nicolas’ Church. Entry is free, but a collection will be made for Rotary charities. Everyone is welcome to see in the start of the Christmas season.
