A powerful new play aims to expose the shifting roles and expectations of women in today’s society.

Fabric by Abi Zakarian heads to The Hawth, Crawley, on Wednesday, July 20 (7.45pm).

Leah has lost her friends, family and dignity. Forced to move for a third time following a harrowing court case, she is sorting through all the stuff in her spare room: clothes she doesn’t wear, books she doesn’t read, things she doesn’t need anymore.

Leah relives painful events in her past as she desperately tries to unpick just where it all went wrong and who is really to blame.

This hard-hitting drama, which deals with the aftermath of a rape, stars Nancy Sullivan (The Rise and Fall of Little Voice).

The production is directed by Tom O’Brien.

Tickets cost £13.50 (discounts £11.50) from 01293 553636 or www.hawth.co.uk.
