Stand-up and Mock The Week regular Gary Delaney brings his first-rate jokes to Christ’s Hospital Theatre, Horsham, on Thursday, March 16 (7.30pm).
A spokesperson said: “Gary thinks a good joke should be like a drunk Glaswegian, short and punchy.
“His new tour show is not only great for people who like lots of jokes, but fun for people who enjoy getting offended by jokes too.
“Gary is perhaps best known for his regular appearances on Mock the Week (BBC2) and is widely regarded as the most quotable one-liner comic in the country.
“His many other TV and Radio credits include 7 Day Saturday (Radio 5 Live), Robert’s Web (C4), Celebrity Pointless (BBC1), Loose Ends (BBC Radio 4), and Russell Kane’s Whistle Stop Tour (BBC Radio 2).
“When performing, he projects the barely hidden delight of a cheeky schoolboy and his audiences can’t help but be carried along by his infectious charm.
“He is a Double Sony Award winner and has written extensively for TV and Radio, including 8 Out of 10 Cats and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, A League of Their Own, 10’Clock Live, The British Comedy Awards and The News Quiz. He has toured twice previously with his last tour being extended four times and taking in more than 200 venues. Through twitter he has become one of the most followed and quoted comedians in the country and he is the only comic ever to have got two gags in the same top 10 for Dave’s Funniest Jokes from the Edinburgh Fringe.
Tickets cost £15. Call 01403 247434 or visit www.christs-hospital.org.uk.
