WINDLESHAM House School, Washington, are to reschedule an event trying to help keep the ‘blues at bay’ with a combination of music and charity.
The event which was due to take place on Saturday October 22, now has been rescheduled to another date.
The school were due to hostSussex-based choir Vivace, a mixed voice choir who perform an eclectic mix of pieces from baroque to rock and well-known songs such as Stand by Me and The Lion Sleeps Tonight.
All of the ticket price from the night will be used by registered charity Family Support Work (FSW) to help families across East and West Sussex through difficult times.
“Regardless of your musical taste, you won’t be disappointed,” said FSW Director Maggie Simons, “and the music will sound even sweeter as your entry fee will provide hundreds of local families in crisis with ongoing practical advice and emotional support for as long as they need it.”
Vivace’s director of music John Sandford said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been asked to perform in support of this worthwhile charity. The work done by FSW is absolutely invaluable to families across Sussex and we’re proud to be able to play a small part in helping them with this.”
