Five local bands will again be creating a wonderful entertaining atmosphere at the Arundel Proms.
The music will flow as residents and visitors picnic and relax in the Jubilee Gardens.
These are free supported by Arundel Rotary Club and Arun District Council. Previous years, sponsorship has paid for these concerts. This year we have some generous sponsorship from Southern Railway, Arundel Rotary Club and Arundel Garden Association.
The Arundel Proms over the last few years has successfully brought music lovers to Arundel who invariably eat and drink in Arundel’s café’s, restaurants, and pubs and spend money in other shops and is a good investment for Arundel business.
We still need to raise more sponsorship so please help us continue to bring you business and consider paying for a concert £250 to cover our costs and ensure we have the resources to continue next year Telephone 07808 368 558.
A wide variety of music is played, including music from the shows, selections of popular music, classical and marches, that delight audiences and has now become a tradition as every concert ends with the Sussex County Anthem, ‘Sussex By The Sea’.
What is so wonderful about these concerts is the bringing together of families to enjoy music in a relaxed atmosphere. Parents and grandparents enjoying the music while their children play. But the children also enjoying the music – a 4 year old asked if she could come and play in the band, it is great that these concerts encourage children to play music and then share in the lifelong pleasure that music brings everyone who plays in bands.
Arundel Rotary Club raises money for charity and a very big thank you to everyone last year who gave as this has enabled Arundel Rotary Club to give £300 to Sussex Search and rescue and £500 to Home Start last year.
The concerts all start at 2pm and last for two hours on Sunday afternoons
July 14: Worthing Silver Band
