The gallery, which will appear for a few days in the Swan Walk shopping centre, will feature works by established and new artists.
For the first time, the sculptures of Sussex artist Brenda Finch will be on display in the gallery. A fascination with bird and animal form is the starting point for Brenda’s work and has lead to her develop pieces that truly capture the characters of different creatures. Her process results in sculptures that really do stand out from the rest.
Brenda will be joined by Kezia Noel-Paton, who will be showing, among other work, some new vibrant abstract paintings.
Lesley Taylor will be exhibiting her new Absolutely Quackers series of witty boxed sculptures and Jo Willis will be displaying new coastal and woodland tree studies. Original artworks and limited edition prints will be on sale.
Gill Buchanan, Swan Walk centre manager, is delighted to see the return of the pop-up gallery.
She said: “Each time Partners in Art exhibit in the centre, the feedback from our shoppers is really positive – especially when there are ways in which they can get involved in the art themselves.
“This time, the Partners in Art group will be raising funds for Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice, through an exciting and very creative raffle-style competition.
“Everyone who enters the competition will be encouraged to show their artistic side and one lucky winner will be taking away a signed limited edition print by Lesley Taylor.”
All visitors to the exhibition can be sure of a warm welcome and will have an opportunity to see, first hand, the artists at work.
Gallery opening times: Wednesday, August 20, to Saturday, August 23, 10am to 5pm daily.
