Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee are once again on the road, taking in Chequer Mead, East Grinstead on Saturday, October 18 (01342 302000).
They are promising another evening of their favourite magic tricks and brand-new illusions Paul and Debbie haven’t stopped since they burst onto screens on the BBC in 1979.
The Paul Daniels Magic Show topped the ratings. Their last two nationwide tours, Hair Today Gone Tomorrow and From Legend to Leg End, gained critical acclaim and sold out in many venues across the country.
In May this year, Paul was awarded the prestigious Golden Grolla award, one of the most ancient Italian film awards which expanded beyond the film industry to include other art forms. The Masters of Magic Congress awarded it this year to Paul for his outstanding services to magic.
Whilst on holiday at the age of 11, Paul read a book on How to Entertain at Parties. Since then he has been entertaining the masses, from tricks for his fellow servicemen during his national service to audiences in their millions on prime time TV. Opportunity literally Knocked in 1970 when Paul was spotted by a TV producer, and he was soon hosting his own show The Paul Daniels Show (BBC1) with his future wife Debbie McGee for 15 years.
