Concert is in aid of the Poppy Appeal

The Sussex Band of The Royal British Legion Charity Concert, The Brighton Road Baptist Church Sanctuary, Horsham, Saturday, May 26, 7.30pm.

THE Sussex Band of The Royal British Legion (Horsham) has organised a charity concert to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Bandmaster and treasurer Clive Longhurst said: “We hope to raise as much as possible for the Poppy Appeal and the Edwin Hall Building fund.

We will also be making two awards during the concert. One is for Dianne Loates, the Horsham Branch Secretary and Poppy Appeal co-ordinator, and also Pat Ferris, the previous bandmaster, both for their contributions to each cause. The RBL county president will be making the presentations.”
