A sweet way to raise charity funds

The seventh annual Cheesecake Competition takes place this month.

The event will be held at The Half Moon Pub in Warninglid on Sunday June 23.

The contest will be in aid of Shooting Star Chase – a charity for children with life-limiting illnesses.

Lunch including a BBQ will be served from 12pm and the competition starts from 2pm.

It’s £5 to enter a cake or £1 a slice to eat the cake.

If you are entering a cake please bring it in a stackable container with your name on the bottom.

There will also be an ice the biscuit competition for children between 0 - 7 and 8 - 12 years old.

Andy and Friends will be performing from 1pm along with Ben Chambers and there will be an auction and a raffle.

Two Chefs are among the judging panel – Steve Crane from Ockenden Manor, Cuckfield, and Tristan Mason from Tristan’s, Horsham.

The Right Honourable Sir Nicholas Soames, James Hood (Editor of The District Post) and Sarah Payne from Cocoa Loco complete the Judging line up.
