The renowned general manager of Horsham’s The Capitol is taking his final curtain call at the venue.

After nearly 22 years service at Horsham District Council, Michael Gattrell is leaving at the end of March.

Michael is going to London to be Head of Regional and International Programming for Bill Kenwright Ltd, the UK’s largest independent theatre and film production company.

Over the years he has held many roles within the venue.

In 2000 he took over as Acting Manager of Horsham Arts Centre until after the major refurbishment of the building when he became the General Manager.

His artistic talent is seen every Christmas when he produces on behalf of the district council and writes and directs the annual pantomime,

the most recent being Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - which attracted bumper audiences and received critical acclaim.
