The Weald Theatre Group is delighted to be celebrating 70 years of performing pantomime while raising money for local charities.
Anne Skinner, the group’s acting chairman, said: “Cinderella was the first panto to be performed all those years ago, and it seemed fitting to present this all-time favourite for the 70th anniversary production.
“Over 40 local children will be taking part as well as regular members taking principal parts.
“You can expect the usual mix of song, dance and comedy and it is hoped the group will exceed the £2,000 that was raised last year for The Rocking Horse Appeal.
“This year’s charities to benefit from the group’s hard work will be Action Medical, The Yews Playgroup and Kangaroo.
“So many people have been involved in the Weald over the years to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds and it is hoped that many of them will join us at the final performance to raise a glass to celebrate 70 years of performing panto in Haywards Heath.”
The show runs from January 8-12 at the Clair Hall, Haywards Heath.
Evening performances take place at 7pm; Sat 12 at 12pm and 5pm.
Family ticket available for selected shows.
